Nikita Porwal Crowned Femina Miss India 2024

Nikita Porwal, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, has been crowned Femina Miss India 2024. Rekha Panday, representing the Union Territories, finished as the first runner-up. Nikita, who began her career as a TV anchor at the age of 18, is an experienced actor with several years in the industry. She was crowned by Nandini Gupta, last year’s winner, while Neha Dhupia presented her with the Miss India sash.

Glamorous Grand Finale in Mumbai

The grand finale took place on Wednesday night in Mumbai, where former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani gave a stunning performance and graced the runway. The star-studded event saw notable attendees, including actor Neha Dhupia, dancer Raghav Juyal, and other celebrities. Anusha Dandekar was among the jury members for this prestigious competition.

Nationwide Talent Search

This year’s edition of the pageant featured a nationwide talent search, with auditions held across the country. After several rounds of auditions and intense grooming sessions during the pageant’s boot camp, 30 state finalists emerged to compete at the grand finale. Nikita Porwal, the winner, will now represent India at the Miss World pageant.

Miss India’s Rich Legacy

The Miss India pageant is a prestigious event. It has crowned five Miss World winners: Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chhillar (2017). This year, the pageant celebrated its 60th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the Miss India Organization launched a musical anthem titled “Rise of Queen.” The anthem is now available on streaming platforms worldwide.
